i don't know how this one slipped through the cracks - it is one of my favourites, made last year for part of the series 'and the walls became the world all around'; i share it with you now!

p.s. apologies for the piece of thread in front of the image - it is late at night (for me anyway) and my scanner is slow, my computer slower. There was all kinds of schlepp on the scanner bed, i am choosing not to care right this minute - one day i might re-scan it for you all!

this is one of my earlier attempts at milly-molly-mandy (my favourit-ist of all my favourite story book characters). This story always made me happy because i always wanted to play shop too (and now i do :s ) and Miss Muggins' shop always seemed so much fun - what with the sweets, fabric and string and lots of other useful things!

Winter Warmers

This work was made while i was wrapped in a wooly kaftan and ugg boots and breathing frost, wishing that i could crawl into some kind of warm burrow. Therefore the apples had temporarily satisfy that desire. Trying to make a crisp shiny apple appear snuggly is a strange attempt indeed. This may have also been a reaction to my cats gone wild # 2, possibly an effort in making cats cute again. I'm feeling a little Anne Geddes gone wrong here.

I'm BACK!!!

I know you were all missing me oh so much, which is understandable, so i have returned from the biting cold of the peninsula to the biting cold which is my unheated flat in melbourne. sigh. But while basking in the fire light (well actually i basked in the sunshine of the sunroom at sorrento, while swaddled in many jumpers) i collaged my arse off, so i present to you the first of several new works...


this work is without title at the moment, but it is collage on hot press something something, approx 14 x 19 cm.

I'm not dead.

It's true. I just happen to be out of town - soaking up the fresh vibes in sorrento victoria. But dear readers! Never fear, i have lots of treats on the way, i will be back on monday avec scanner, and shall be uploading some of the delights I have been working on while in the sanctury that is the attangah (spelling?) sunroom!

blog banner gets framed!

I couldn't help myself - seeing as was going to frame one of the mountain works for the paperwork 1 show, i decided to treat myself too. Instead of this tiny work (one of my favourites!) getting lost in a pile of collage material and other finished works, i decided to get it framed... i don't think i even gave it a real title initially, but now i have labeled it 'the warming room' to signify finally getting my work online and hopefully more public than my desk at home. So a big thankyou to the people who take the time to look at my work from the warming room!



if anyone is looking to get any work framed, i strongly recommend omnus conservation framing - those guys know their shit, and are friendly and lovely and their prices are amazing. They were super speedy with this and my other piece, and cut down the time because they knew i had to get it up in the gallery! thanks again guys!

Hello All!

Apologies for the delay, but i finally went to C3 yesterday to photograph (doofus me forgot the camera for the opening) my work. Please forgive my pretty terrible photography - not my strongest point I admit! Unfortunately c3's site is also un-updated with pics, so you'll just have to make do with these!




Ok they are even more boring than i thought - but look yay! hung on a wall for a change! I tried individual shots, however my computer (and brain) is struggling with rotation.
